They were armed with everything in the line of weapons that could be thought  of, crowbars, hoes, shovels, scythes, pick axes, blunderbusses, swords and bayonets, automatics and shot guns. It looked as if the bird was to meet a sudden end. After a chase of a mile and a half, with two hundred men in pursuit, the rooster was surrounded -90-
