DECORATIONS AND ILLUMINATIONS The Processional Route from Parliament Square to Buckingham Palace has been decorated by the Ministry of Works. Commencing with a special feature in Parliament Square, all the public buildings in Whitehall are decorated with large flags representative of Civilian and Fighting Services. Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square, Admiralty Arch and the National Gallery have been decorated. The Mall is decorated with 103 masts bearing the flags of the Services, Dominions, Colonies and the Fighting Allies each mast bears the name of the country or the Service represented. The Saluting Base is situated opposite Marlborough Gate. From 10.00 p.m. until midnight, and on the following nights up to and including Saturday, 15th June, the following buildings, amongst others, will be floodlit: BUCKINGHAM PALACE ST. JAMES' PALACE HAMPTON COURT PALACE WINDSOR CASTLE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT WESTMINSTER ABBEY ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL LAMBETH PALACE TOWER OF LONDON MANSION HOUSE ROYAL EXCHANGE THE WAR OFFICE HORSE GUARDS SOMERSET HOUSE NATIONAL GALLERY ADMIRALTY ARCH NELSON'S COLUMN ROYAL NAVAL COLLEGE Greenwich ROYAL MINT BETHNAL GREEN MUSEUM COUNTY HALL, WESTMINSTER RIVER TRIPS Sightseeing Trips along the river will be run daily until midnight from 9th to 15th June. The Admiralty are illuminating some of His Majesty's Ships, which will be berthed as follows at: GREENWICH H.M.S. Diadem and H.M.S. Bellona Cruisers. WOOLWICH H.M.S. Myngs, H.M.S. Zambesi, H.M.S. Zest and H.M.S. Zealous Destroyers DEPTFORD H.M.S. Stork, H.M.S. Bamborough Castle Sloop Corvette LONDON DOCKS Shadwell New Basin: H.M.S. Token and H.M.S. Themopylae Submarines UPPER POOL Four Minesweepers. The Public will be able to visit these ships on Whit-Sunday, 9th June, and Whit-Monday, 10th June, between 12.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. During the same period, Motor Torpedo Boats will be moored on the River Thames at Chelsea, Vauxhall and Charing Cross, and near H.M.S. President.

THE ROYAL BARGE H.M. The King will travel by water from Chelsea, under Westminster and Waterloo Bridges, then sweep back to the landing stage at the Houses of Parliament. A Salute will be given by Searchlights and Aerial Maroons of Anti-Aircraft Command, and by the playing of the National Anthem relayed by 500 loudspeakers, followed by national music.
