The above signal corps photo pictures Pfc. Melvin M. Rice (left), whose wife, Mrs. Mildred Walters Rice lives at 740 13th street, S. W., and Pfc. Melvin E. Mikolajczyk of Shenandoah, Pa., manning an 81mm. mortar somewhere in France. The 81mm. mortar is a real headache to the Germans and with an expert crew manning it it can deal out more misery than a headache.
