Successor in office that he the said Harry M Brent his said apprentices in the art of farming will teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed in the best manner that he can and shall and will provide and allow unto the said apprentices during all the said term competent and sufficient meat drink washing lodging apparel and all other things necessary for the said apprentices. And whereas the said County Court by the order aforesaid did direct that the said Henry M Brent for the services of the said apprentices should pay “ twenty dollars a year for the hire of each apprentice commencing when they attain the age of fifteen years respectively “ the said Henry M Brent doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Overseer of the Poor and his successor in office that he shall and will well and truly pay the said sums of money to the said Overseer and his successors in office for the use and objects specified in the said order In witness whereof the said John Sinn Overseer of the Poor and the said Henry M Brent have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals this 7th day of November 1861 John Sinn O.S.P (Seal) H M Brent (Seal)
