In obedience to Circular No 7a Conscript Office Richmond Va on excing the impressment of slaves for twelve months, I have this day received of John R. Baylor two slaves named, Paul & Jerry, said slaves having been appraised by three freeholders and assessed the former at ($4500) four thousand five hundred dollars, and the latter at five thousand dollars ($5000).
