Must acknowledge that a party of the Sinnekes, and Onnendages have plundered some ffrench that they found in their Enemies Countrey supplying them there with amunition which they thought was very unreasonable and wee have alsoe taken some of the Ottowawa Indians prisoners who are our Enemies, but upon his Exeye the Govrs Comands wee have sent them home again by Capt Rooseboom last ffall, and by Major Maygregory this Spring notwithstanding they had killed several of our Indians out a Bever hunting and of our women In their planting of Corn As for what his Exeye proposed yesterday Consisting in severall articles wee shall not answer to every particular, Only to the principall heads, In what his Exeye may rest staisfyed wee approve off verry well and shall performe As for the makeing of peace with the ffarr nations, wee doe take that to bee very good Councill and will undoubtedly Contribute much to the strenthening of us and weakeneing of our Enemies the ffrench, And therefore are willing to accept of the Councill to make a peace with the Ottowawas, and to that End wee will send such of their people as have been some years agoe prisoners among us to them to Endeavour to effect it and are satisfyed his Exeyes advice, Is farr above what wee could Ever have thought of I doe Render many thanks to his Exeye ffor itt, and present his Exeye with 3 belts of wampum Soe give his Exeye many thanks for your good advice concerneing the hangeng of what ffrench prisoners wee gett for our people, wee will follow itt & doe noe harme to any ffrench wee gett, Butt strive to gett our people Exchanged for them which will strenthen us and desire as soon as we gett any that his Exeye wold write to the Govr of Canida to make an Exchange. - As for the Twich Twich Indians who are our mortall Enemies and have killed a great many of our people a Bever hunting wee know wee know not whether wee Can Effect a peace with them Nevertheless upon your Exeyes desire wee will try and doe our Endeavour, doe give 3 belts of wampum 3 Soe doe acknowledge that your Exeyes advice to us is very good in Every thing and particularly concerneing the ffrench Jesuite, whom wee are Resolved not to Receive any more nor [illegible] from the French and if any of the ffive nations are [[illegible] for English Jesuits they will come and acquaint your Exeye with itt doe give 3 belts of wampum Desire 3
