The Right Honourable Thomas Lord Fairfax Baron of Cameron in that part of Great Britain call'd Scotland proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia To all to whom this present writing shall come sends greeting Know Ye that for good causes for and in consideration of the composition for my use paid and for the annual rent hereafter reserved I have given granted and confirmed and by these presents for me my heirs and assigns do give grant and confirm unto Dennis Connyers of the County of Prince William one certain tract of waste land in the said county on the south side of Carters Run and bounded as followeth Beginning at, A, a white oak and pine corner to the land of John Dagg thence So 55 Et one hundred and nineteen poles to, B, a white oak on the lower side of the mouth of a drain falling into a branch of Carters Run corner to the said Dagg; thence crossing the said branch So 77 Et eighty nine poles to, C, a chestnut oak red oak and white oak on the side of a valley; thence So 16 30 Et thirty eight poles to, D, a white oak; thence So 52 Wt one hundred & forty two poles to, E, two pines; thence So 25 Wt forty six poles to F a pine; thence So 53 Wt eight poles to, G, a white oak corner to the land of Captn. Thomas Carter; thence with his lines So 72 Wt crossing a small run sixty five poles to, H two pines thence so 35 Wt sixty six poles to Carters Run at, I, twelve poles from a large poplar in the said line corner to the said Thomas Carter thence up the said run according to the severall corners thereof No 78 Wt twenty eight poles No 42 Wt thirty four poles No 9 Wt forty two poles So 78 Et thirty six poles No 33 Et twenty poles No 6 Wt fifty four poles No 14 Wt seventy two poles to K, three white oaks on the bank of the said run; thence No 28 Et one hundred fifty seven poles to L a Spanish oak & red oak; thence So 37 Et thirty six poles to the beginning containing two hundred & ninety eight acres together with all rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging royal mines excepted and a full third part of all lead copper tinn coals iron mines & iron ore that shall be found thereon to have and to hold the said two hundred and ninety eight acres of land together with all rights profits and benefits to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining except before excepted to him the said Dennis Connyers his heirs and assigns for ever he the Dennis Connyers his heirs and assigns therefore yielding and paying unto me my heirs & assigns or to my certain attorney or attorneys agent or agents or the certain attorney or attorneys of my heirs and assigns proprietors of the said Northern Neck yearly and every year on the feast day of St. Michael the Archangel the fee rent of one shilling sterling money for every fifty acres of land hereby granted and so proportionably for a greater or lesser quantity provided that he the said Dennis Connyers his heirs etc shall not pay the before reserved annual rent so that the same or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid by the space of two whole years after the same shall become due if lawfully demanded that then it shall and may be lawfull for me my heirs or assigns proprietors as aforesaid my or their certain attorney or attorneys agent or agents into the above granted premises to reenter and hold the same so as if this grant had never pass'd Given at my office in the county of Prince Wm within my said proprietary under my seal witness my agent and attorney fully authoriz'd thereto dated the thirtieth day of November in the sixteenth year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George etc ADni one thousand seven hundred & forty two T Fairfax Dennis Connyer's deed for 298 acres of land in Prince William County
