Mch 20 1917. My Dear Miss Wright Yr. letter should have been answered sooner but my Husband has been & is so ill that I've not had the opportunity. I'm indeed glad to know you if only by letter, & it has been my hope that you would visit our League. I expect to be in Richmond next mth, Stuart Circle Hospl. with Dr D. & will be glad to meet you personally & talk the matter over with you. You will be surprised to hear that it was through my efforts the bill was defeated in the House last session. At that time I fell very strongly opposed to Charlottesville [;] since then my close & personal
