F.K.E. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR BUREAU OF EDUCATION WASHINGTON July 29, 1913. Mrs. Mary C. B. Munford, Hawthorne Inn, East Gloucester, Massachusetts. My dear Mrs. Munford: In reply to your letter of July twenty-sixth, you are advised that this Bureau has no objection whatsoever to your making use of the designated portions of Doctor Babcock's report to the Education Commission of Virginia. With respect to the letter of December 12, 1910, addressed to Secretary Charles G. Maphis, I find that said letter was written by Doctor Babcock while he was President of the University of Arizona. The printed matter at the head of the letter, showing that it was originally from the University of Arizona, was omitted in the copy. Very truly yours, L. H. Kalbach Chief Clerk.
