John P. Burton shall the said York James in the art of farming which he the said John P. Burton now useth after the best manner that he can or may teach and instruct and inform or cause to be taught instructed and informed as much as thereunto belongeth or in any wise appertaineth, and that the said John P. Burton shall also find and allow unto the said apprentice sufficient meat, drink apparel, washing lodging and all other things necessary or meet for an apprentice during the term aforesaid; and will moreover pay to the said York James twelve dollars at the expiration of the term aforesaid. in Witness whereof the parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
