Mrs. Jess[i]e E. Townsend, Pres, Equal Suffrage League, Norfolk, Va.
Dear Madam:- Your letter of Jan 31st, is received together with a copy of the resolution passed by your League and wish to say that we fully endorse everything written in your letter and passed by your League in resolution. We shall write to our Exchange in Washington to-day and with your permission send them both the resolution and your letter so as to make it as positive as possible and we are herewith enclosing you a copy of our letter so that you may know that we are heartily in accord with the position of you and your league. As a matter of fact it is not right for anyone to hinder a cause that has for its object the benefit and betterment of mankind, and really a burlesque as has been shown in moving pictures on the suffergette movement is not right. We shall be glad to help in anyway that we can to put a stop to it and we don't think there will be anymore trouble about pictures of this character being shown at "Wonderland" in the future. You have taken a good stand and to properly circulate this resolution over the State of Virginia and other states as well among the Leagues can't help but be of much benefit to the movement. We wish you great success in this undertaking, Yours very respectfully, Norfolk Moving Picture Co., W. F. Crall
