Miss Kate Gordon $1000 for the work of the Southern States Conference. Miss Gordon tells me that she now has $3500 in hand and that Headquarters will be opened in New Orleans in May with Mrs. Boyer as secretary. The latter has done organizing work in many Western and Northern states.
The gist of it all is that at present we are all feeling our way and that uniform action seems impossible.
The main thing is to demonstrate for suffrage. The majority of our Richmond Board is in favor of state action. It is quite possible
