[Grady?] report Norfolk, Virgnia N. E. S. L. Report The past year has seen two marked achievements in the work of the Norfolk League - namely the amalgamation of the two former bodies, the Merrimac + the E. S. R of U and the establishment of headquarters. In the latter a weekly meeting has been held, some social gatherings. The work of the League has been [varied?] + along diverse lines.The Suffrage M. P. Play "[Your?] G + M" was secured through our efforts + shown at the straud theatre for one day and evening. It proved of great educational value. (P) Members of the league took part in [illegible] civic parades, one on July 5th other on Labor Day. (P) We raised $50 for Red Cross for Belgian relief fund by a card party managed by Mrs. C. S. [Stainworth?]. Two other successful card parties were given during the year. For revenue only. (p.) Two demonstrations of alumni mem + Suffrage were held in the Kitchens of members, proving that suffragists seek the most effiecient tools for both culinary and civic service. We maintained a Woman's Exchange for four months + through it distributed much of our literature Held several open nightsat Headquarters to which the public was invited one and excellent concert + other [literony?]. Held one baby show with address by Dr. N. J. Harris. Decorated a down town window at Christmas time with Dolls representing characters in and out of suffrage states
