Question 1st--In whose handwriting, in the body of the note sued on, is the entire body of said note, in the same handwriting -- when and to whom was this said note delivered - and was not the words, "with interest from date" in said note, written after the delivery of the same, by the defendant, without his knowledge or consent. and whether or not and when and how has the said defendant, after the addition of said words, sanctioned, or agreed to their being incorporated in said note. 2nd. For what consideration was said note given, was it not on a supposed balance of an account, between yourself and the defendant, arising out of transactions in which he acted as your agent, for several years, in the purchase of slavers in what manner and by whom, were the said accounts kept, and is there not an error, in said accounts, prior to the date of said note, in your farm, of about twelve hundred dollars, which was concealed from the defendant, at the date of said note, as the same was originally drawn, before the alteration referred to, in this first interrogatory.
