THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, To the Sheriff of Halifax County, Greeting: We command you that of the goods and chattels of Elenor Compton & John R Roark late in your bailiwick, you cause to be made Thirty five dollars with Int thereon at the rate of six per Centum per Annum from the 25th day of December 1838 till paid which James Young Adm'r of Caleb Compton dec'd lately in our County Court of Halifax hath recovered against him for Debt  Also $ 7.00 - which to the said Compton's Adm'r in the same Court were adjudged for his costs, by him about his suit in that behalf expended, whereof the said Compton & Roark are convict, as appears to us of record - And that you have the same before our Justices of our said Court at the Courthouse thereof, on the fourth Monday in August next to render to the said Compton's Adm'r of the Debt and costs aforesaid.  And have then there this writ.  Witness,
