THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, To the Sheriff of Halifax County, Greeting: We command you that of the goods and chattels of Elenor Comptons Surviving Obligor of herself & Meredith R Compton & Martha J Compton late in your bailiwick, you cause to be made Fifty three dollars & Seventy Eight & half Cents with Int thereon at the rate of Six per Centum per annum from the 22d December 1837 till paid which James Young Adm'r of Caleb Compton dec'd lately in our County Court of Halifax, hath recovered against him for Debt Also $6.37 - which to the said James Young Adm'r in the same Court were adjudged for his costs, by him about his suit in that behalf expended, whereof the said Compton &c are convict, as appears to us of record - And that you have the same before our Justices of our said Court at the Courthouse thereof, on the fourth Monday in August next to render to the said James Young Adm'r of the said Debt and costs aforesaid. And have then there this writ. Witness, WILLIAM HOLT, Clerk of our said Court, at the Court-house, the 27th day of June 1844 and in the 68th year of the Commonwealth. Wm Holt
