The Commonweath of Virginia,

To the Sheriff of [?] County, Greeting:

You are hereby commanded to summon David M Walke

to appear at the Clerk's Office of our Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for the County of Norfolk, on the first Monday in [June?] next, to answer a Bill exhibited against him [?] in the said Court, by Thomas Williams

and unless the said Defendant shall answer the said Bill within two months thereafter, the Court will take the same for confessed, and decree accordingly: And this he shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of $300 And have then there this Writ. Witness Arthur Emmerson, Clerk of our said Court, at his Office this 5 day of May 1846 in the 70 year of the Cmomonwealth.
