THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA To the Sheriff of Prince Edward County, Greeting: YOU are hereby commanded to summon John H Smith, Patrick Jackson, A Vaugan the President, director & Company of the Farmers Bank of Virginia and James M Jackson to appear before the Judge of our Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for the County of Prince Edward, at the Clerks office in the said county, on the 1st Monday in Jany next, being rule day to answer a bill exhibited against them in the said Court, by Henry Jackson an infant of tender years, who sues by his guardian and next friend Pleasant Labby and unless they shall answer the said bill within two months thereafter, the Court, will take the same for confessed, and decree accordingly. And this they shall in no wise omit under the penalty of £100 each And have then there this writ. Witness, B.J.
