The petition of Henry Martin of Fluvanna County humbly represents that on the 27 day of December "[Ultuno?]" your petitioner consented to let his wife Lucy Martin carry with her into the state of Kentucky Four Negroe Slaves belonging to your petitioner (to wit) Paul, Nelly, Cuzza & Peter; for her use and support during her natural life.
