3 mo 11th Wind N. and a pleasant morning continued so during the day; a boy and myself loaded and unloaded near a thousand rails posts and caps for fence on the land I purchasd of J. Newbrough formerly the property of Joseph Lupton three mill wrights and four stone fence markers & two choppers at work to day for me 12 Wind N and a cloudy morning a little rain but hope it will be a fine day - it was a fine day 13 Wind NW and a a little cloudy but clear'd off and a moderate day there was a little appearance of rain about 12 but blew off & was colder in evening but moderated, this night came Jacob crew & his wife on their return from Carolina in company with Thomas Enders & John a colour'd man who stay'd here all night. Thomas had been below with two horses and was on foot, the col'd man a foot 14th This is a cloud morning wind N.E. and raw [comment?] snowing about eleven O Clock and continued till evening 15th This morning is cloudy wind N.E. still cloudy & a little snow in afternoon but very little wind chang'd to S.E. and raining & sleeting this evening 16 Rain'd & sleeted all night I believe. Cloudy all this day and snow & ice melting Wind S.E. all day - fine spits of rain at times
