171 June 1944 The Holy Neck Missionary - Aid Society met Tuesday June 6th at the home of Mrs. Shepard Johnson with the president Mrs B D Jones presiding The devotional service was led by Mrs Harvey Worrell, sentence prayers were offered by the members. Minuters [Minutes] of the last meeting were lead by the secretary. The president urged the members to attend the joint meeting with the Holland society June 15th at the Holland Christian Church Mrs J. Frank Morgan of Norfolk will teach the Mission Study book "We Who are America." the society voted to contribute $1.50 on her expenses to Holland. A motion was made by Mrs E T Holland and seconed by Mrs Nell Langstun that the Aid Treasurer Mrs E T Holland contribute $5.00 to the Weekday Religous Education Fund of Nansenond [Nansemond] County. The Aid Treasurer was autherized to pay Mrs June Davidson $6.75 for improvements made to the Church vestibule and $5.00 for having the piano in the Church hall tuned. (over)
