Sunday pm Jun 6. 1943 Dearest Sonny Setting home feeling a little blue. Wondering what you are doing, enjoying life I hope. {Gene?} came home for the week and went back on the 2 o'clock bus Sun. said [paue?] was going with him back. still poor & skinny. he don't like Baltimore very much. works every day also Sun. gets 85 [cents symbol] hr but still likes to throw it away.

Well your cow was [illegible] (Sat) yesterday got a white face heifer nice cow Do you want to keep him too. Sonny & [illegible] is nearly grown if you have good luck with the cows. when the war is over guess you can have a job [selling?] cream. Monday pm Will try to write you a few more lines.
