upon which he delivered the said negroes to the said William H. Diggs and the said Diggs paid him the above mentioned sum of Eighty one dollars and twenty cents for which sum he gave Diggs a [illegible] as received of William Morris by the hands of William H. Diggs and further this [illegible] said not Sworn to & subscribed before us Mr Hill, JP A Betting, JP

State of North Carolina County of Stokes & Matthew R Moore , Clerk of the Court of pleas and quarter [illegible] of Stokes County hereby certify that John Hill and Anthony Betting by whom the foregoing deposition is attested, are one where at the time of attesting the same, sworn [illegible] and acting justice of the peace [illegible] and for the county [illegible}, and that all due forth and [illegible] ought to be given to their official acts as such. And I do also certify that the fees which Joshua Banner states an said deposition that he charged as [illegible] fees, & which were paid him by William Diggs were the fees then allowed by law. In testimony whereof I have hereunto let my hand and [illegible] the seal of my office at office this 14th day of December 1829 Matt R Moore [illegible]

Moore whose signature appear to the foregoing certification clerk of the Court of Pleas Quartre [illegible] of Stokes County and that his [illegible] is undue form of Law.
