H.Q. in wood shelled often. Saw our first Englishmen - Ont. to O. P. Saw burying party - still saw dead everwhere. 26 Pulled out of front after 5 days extra artillery only - Marines + Infantry all shot up 28 March starts to rest camp + we need it!! Ahead to billet - and slept in a real bed!! Here for 3 days Village Oissey 31 Entrained at Nointruil. Hit Paris at dusk no stop - as usual
Aug 1 Passed through Nancy. Detrained at Bayon. 2 22 Kl march to Messein - arrived 5 AM
