The first Council meeting of the Angel Visit Baptist Church was held on the above name date with the "[illegible]" RW. W. A. young providing. The meeting was open with prayer by Sister Rose Beal followed by singin[g] I will [guide?] thee. The moderator than call for the reading of the minutes of the last meeting. The minutes were read adopted.

At this time the moderator ask Dec. Long to take the chair. Dec. Long ask for unfinish business. Unfinish bussines [business] was concerning the chairman of the trusetee board and the [communion?]. Dec. Long stated that Mr. Wm. Grishman had been appointed chairman of the trus. board and the comminon [communion?] would be left in the hands of the Deacnies [deacons?] board. Dec. Long read the letter he had wrote concerning the qualication [qualification] of our [trusette?]. He also said they could not find the names of any of our trustee on any of the three book in the clerk's office. According to the letter each trustee was ask to meet in Tapp. on April 21.

Mrs. Marth McQuire, Mrs. Clara Pendleton, Mr. [Zach?] Davis. Rev. Young suggested that some one each meeting [sun.?]

spoke on the need of posponding [postponing?] the rally to a later date on motion by Mr. Wm. Grisham that we would have our annual spring rally on second Sun. in May. Motion was carried. The moderator ask did any one want to talk on the next rally. It was agreable [agreeable] to arrangements for this rally in our next meeting.

The moderator spoke on the matter of brick veneer the church Miss Yates and Mrs. Harris speak on the same. Mrs. Fauntleroy ask the question what time would we start. The moderator stated that we would have a call meeting after the rally concerning the same. Mrs. Fauntleroy also ask how much would it cost to begin the pastor stated the estimated cost to start 700.
