This Indenture made this tenth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and nine, Between William Graverman of the Town of Alexandria and District of Columbia of the first part George Youngs of the same place of the second part, and Robert Yung and William J Hall also of the same place of the third part. Whereas the goods and chattles of the said William Graverman has been [detained] for rent, and are now in custody of the marshall, and wishing to preserve them from sale and [illegible], he the said William Graverman has applied to the said Robert Young & William J Hall to become his securities in a three month [illegible] [illegible] but before and at the time of doing so he the said William wishes to indemnify and secure them against any possible injury which might be sustained by them, by [reason] of their securityship aforementioned. Now this Indenture witnesseth, that the said William Groverman for and in consideration of the [premisses?], and the further sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said George Young at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is acknowledged. Hath granted bargained sold [illegible] and [illegible] over and by these presents
