This Indenture made this fourth day of April One Thousand Eight hundred and Twenty One Between Rebecca Flannery of the Town of Alexandria and District of Columbia of the one part and Frederick Wood of the same Town and District of the other part Whereas the said Rebecca by deed of the twentieth day of January One thousand Eight hundred and Twenty One for the considerations therein named conveyed to one William Wood for the use of the said Frederick an undivided moiety in and of the following slaves and other personal property To Wit James, Isaac, Tom, Rhody, Winny, Jesse, Betty, Rose, Dinah, two slaves each named Molly, Anna, Sarah, Pensey, and all her increase, Mary and all her increase Sinah, Rachel, Peter, Rhoda, Nancy, Davy, Lucy and all her increase. Thirteen head of horned Cattle and their increase & six head of hogs together with their increase To Hold as afore-named one moiety thereof to the said William Wood In trust for the use of the said Frederick his heirs & assigns forever. Now This Indenture Witnesses that the said Rebecca Flannery as well to make a further provision for her son in law the said Frederick as in consideration of the sum of One hundred and ten dollars by him to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Has given granted bargained and sold and does by these presents give, grant, bargain and sell to the said Frederick Wood all the right, title interest and estate of her the said Rebecca in and to the other half or moiety of the afore described Slaves and other personal property To Have and to Hold to the said Frederick Wood his heirs and assigns to their only proper use for and during the natural life of the said Rebecca. And
