Know all men by these presents, that I Mary H. Blake of Calvert County and State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection, which I bear to my niece Mary Elizabeth Peyton, daughter of Craven T. Peyton deceased, and Eliza Peyton, as well as for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) Have given & granted, and by these presents do give and grant, unto the said Mary Elizabeth Peyton, her heirs or assigns, a female negro slave called Louisa, about twenty one years of age, To have and to hold the said Slave Louisa, unto her the said Mary Elizabeth Peyton her heirs or assigns forever. And the said Mary H Blake for herself, her heirs Executors and administrators, the said negro girl Louisa, unto the said Mary Elizabeth Peyton, her heirs or assigns, against the claim of the said Mary H Blake her Executors or administrators, and also against the claim or demand of all other persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said Mary H.
