This deed made this 10th day of October A. D. 1859 between John W Bowen of the one part and Charles R. Stewart of the second part both of the county of Alexandria & State of Virginia. Witnesseth That the said John W. Bowen has this day bargained & sold & by these presents doth bargain sell & convey unto the said Charles E. Stewart the following negroes viz Landon a boy about 19 years of age Solomon a boy about 13 years of age & Williamson a boy about 11 years of age all whom are healthy & sound for the sum of five hundred dollars the right of which is hereby acknowledged to have & to hold said negroes
