1884 Sept. 7th At a regular meeting this day. Bro. J. R. Daniel at $12.50 pr. month brethren Jn. O. Reynolds, Jn. S. Adams & J. B. Godsey were appointed as committee to wait on bro. Daniel & inform him of action of church, & also to see the membership & make with them arrangements to pay salary &c. Bro. D. left without positively deciding as to accepting the call. J. B. 1884 Oct. 12th Rev. Jno. R. Daniel accepted the care of Cumberland Church at $12.50 pr. month & his board to preach two Sundays in each month.
