This indenture made the 15th Day of April in the years of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & Sixty Two Between Samuel Mahanes of the County of Lancaster of the One Part and William Sanders of the Same County of the other part. Witnesseth that [illegible] Said Samuel Mahanes in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings to me to in hand [illegible] By the Said William Sanders the Receit whereof I do hereby Acknowledge, and for & in Consideration of the natural love & Affection which I have & bear to my wife Fran[page torn] [Sinah?] and unto my Children. Meredith Mahanes, Rhoda Mahanes, & Tarpley Graven Mahanes and for their Better Preferments & Advantage & for divers other good [page torn] And Considerations him there unto moving. hath given Granted & Confirmed & by these Presents doth Give grant & Confirm unto the said William Sanders all my whole Estate. of all kinds whatsoever Consisting of Negroes by name. Old Ross. Sam, Hagar, Jane, Daniel & young Ross, & all the future increase of the sd Female negroes Likewise stock & household furniture of all sorts whatsoever. To have & to hold. the Said premises herein Given granted & Confirmed unto the said William Sanders And his heirs. Upon the special Trust & Confidence & to the use intents & purpose Herein Expressed & for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever (vizt) all the [set?] herein Granted to & for the use of theirs Samuel Mohanes & Frances Sinah his Wife & the sd Meredith Mahanes, Rhod Mohanes and Tarpley Graven Mahanes. And such other Children of the said Samuel & Frances Sinah Mahanes as shall Hereafter be begotten between them, for & during the natural lives of the said Samuel & Frances Sinah Mahanes. Reserving if the sd Frances Sinah should Be the longest liver she is to hold the whole Estate so long as she shall remain A widow for the support and maintenance of the sd Frances Sinah and after the death of the Samuel & his said Wife or her marriage the [illegible] Negroes and all the other premises herein granted to be Equally Among the said Children, and  the said Samuel Mahanes doth by these present Agree that he shall not have the liberty of selling moving or squandering Any part or parcel of the above mentioned Estate out of this County Lancaster Or Northumberland County here next adjoining and that is he doth that he shall forfit his whole Right and Tittle of the Estate. Anything herein Contained to the Contrary Notwithstanding. In Witness whereof the parties aforsaid to there presents Indentures Interchangably set their hand and Seals The day and  year first above Written
