Know all men by these presents that I Charles Rogers of Lancaster County, for and in consideration of the Sum of five Shillings current money to me in hand paid; have this day bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and deliver to Joseph Sydnor of the County of Dinwddie two negroes Judy and Gavin, which said negroes together with Judy's future Increase, I do hereby warrant and defend, free from the Claim, Right, Title, Molestation ^and demand^ of all and every person or persons whatever In witness hereof I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed my Seal this 16th Day of Decr 1780.
