To all to whome these presents shall come Greeting, Know ye That I LeRoy Peachey of the County of Richmond & State of Virginia for divers good Causes and Valuable considerations moving me thereto & for the further Consideration of five shillings in hand paid to me before the Sealing & delivery of these Presents the Rect whereof I Do hereby Acknowledge Have given Granted and Confirmed unto my much respected Friend Lucy Montague and her Son William Montague and to their Heirs and Assigns forever my Negroe Girl Milley and the Feather Bed &c. which was Bequeath'd by the late Capt. Wm Montague decd to my Dear departed Wife Mildred and I do Warrant the said Negroe Girl Milly and Bed &c. unto the said Lucy & William Montague forever against myself or any person or persons claiming undre [sic] me Reserving nevertheless to myself the Absolute Use of the Said Girl Milley for & during the Term of my natural life as also the absolute property of all & every Child the said Milley shall bring forth during the sd.
