Know all men by these presents that I Richard Mitchell of the county of Lancaster for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bear to my son Daniel P. Mitchell of the said County as well as for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid by the said Daniel P. Mitchell at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given and granted and by there presents do give and grant unto the said Daniel P. Mitchell his executors administrators and assigns three negro men & one negro girl to wit Jesse, Dennis, Spencer and Siller to have and to hold the said four negroes unto him the said Daniel P Mitchell his heirs executors ad

Be it remembered that the said four negroes are to remain in the peaceable possession of the said Richard Mitchell during his natural life and the profits arising from them to be applied to his support or in any way that he may think proper. In Witness whereof the said Richard Mitchell hath to these presents set his hand & affixed his seal this 22nd day September 1820.
