This Indenture made and entered into this 13th day of march one thousand eight hundred and twenty one between Edward Percifull of Northumberland County of the one part and George L. Corbin & Richard Payne of Lancaster County Va. of the other part Witnesseth that the sd. E. Percifull for and in consideration of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Geo. L. Corbin the receipt whereof Is hereby acknowledge hath this day bargained and sold, & do by these presents grant bargain sell and deliver to the sd. Geo. L. Corbin the following property to wit one Negro slave by name Emanuel, on Yoke of Oxen & Cart, one Horse Gigg and harness, three Cows and one yearling twelve Head of Hogs, two Feather beds & furniture, and all the residue of his House Hold & kitchen Furniture plantation utensils, and all his right title and Interest in the crop of Corn fodder &c of every description He may make this year. To Have and to Hold the said property free from the claim or claims of all or any person or persons whatsoever, to him the sd. Geo. L. Corbin & his heirs to his and their proper use forever; nevertheless upon trust, & for the following purpose hereafter set forth and expressed, that whereas the above named Richard Payne having loaned the said Edward Percifull sums of money to the amount of five hundred dollars for which sum the sd. Payne holds sd. Percifulls bonds in three cases and sd R Payne having become the sd. Percifulls security in Lancaster Court for his administration on John Y. Percifulls Estate also in the same Court for his guardianship for
