This indenture made this 20th Day of October in the year of our Lord 1857 between James R Stephen of the first part, John D Glaseck, of the second part, and Josephine Stephens of Bedkar? George fo the third part. Whereas the said James R Stephens is justly indebted to John Bhowling? in the sum of five hundred dollars as the bond bearing state the 25th day of September 1850 more fully appears; which debt with the legal interest thereof concerning? the said James R Stephen is willing to [illegible] to secure the said Joseph G Stephens and Bedkar? George from the payment of the said bond of five hundred dollars on the Seventeen? thereto

Now this indenture Witnepheth? that for and in consideration of one dollar of Lawful money of Viriginia to the said James R stephens in hand paid by the said John DG? Lancock? at and before the enscalus? and recusing? of their presents the receipt where of is hereby acknowledge he the said James R Stephans hath given granted bargain and sale to the said John Dg Lancock his heir or apis? forever the following Steven, to wel-Negroe woman Souisa of her child Simon on the future increase of the said woman Louisa, and all the right? and interest of the said James R Stephens in and to the said woman Jouisa and Child Simon to have and to hold the aforesaid slaves and the future linear? of the woman Louisa into the said John DG Lancock, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns for even to the only one of the said John DG Lascock his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns forever.
