This Deed made and entered into this 11th day of January in the year 1860 between Eppa N. Dunaway of the first part and Mary Dunaway his wife of the second part, Witnesseth that the said Eppa N. Dunaway for and in consideration of the natural love and affections which he bears to his said wife Mary Dunaway and to his infant child by her, Charles D Dunaway has this day bargained and sold, and by these presents does bargain, sell, give grant and convey unto the said Mary Dunaway to take effect at and from the time of his death, a certain negro woman Francis and her three children Tom Jane and George and the future increase of the females, and all the slaves held by the said Eppa N Dunaway as the said Marys thirds in the estate of the former husband Rawleigh W Chilton dec'd, with their future increase during the life of the said Mary, and also any bonds that he the said Eppa N Dunaway may have at the time of his death taken for the hires of any of the said slaves, also a bond of William Henderson for six hundred dollars, the proceeds of the sale of Adaline one of the slaves gotten by the said Mary as part of her thirds in the estate of the former husband, sold pursuant to a decree of the County Court of Lancaster by the said Eppa N. Dunaway and Edgar E,. Dunaway as [illegible] after paying out of the said bond the costs of suit for the sale of the said Adaline, To have and to hold to her the said Mary Dunaway, at and from the death of him the said Eppa N Dunaway during her natural life And at the death of the said Mary the said slaves Frances with her three children, Tom, Jane and George with the future increase of the females to pass to the said Charles D. Dunaway in absolute property, and the slaves now held by the said Eppa N. Dunaway as the third of the said Mary in the estate of her former husband, and the bond of the said William Henderson for the proceeds of the sale of Adeline, with the future increase of the said last mentioned slaves during the life of the said Mary to pass to her children by her former husband, pursuant to the terms of his will.
