This Indenture made and entered into the 6th day of June 1842 between Bennit A Henderson and Dorothy B Henderson his wife of the first part William Daniel is of the second part and Horatio Depriest of the third part whereas the said Bennit A Henderson and Dorothy B. his wife are justly indebted to the said Horalio Depriest in the sum of ninety dollars by bond due the 25th of December 1842, also in the further sum of thirty dollars now due on demand which said sums of money; it is the wish and desire of the said Bennit A Henderson and Dorothy B. his wife to secure the payment thereof more effectually. This Indenture therefore Witnesseth that the said Bennit A Henderson and Dorothy B. his wife for and in consideration of the premises and also for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to them in hand paid by the said William Daniel jr. have given granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and sell unto the said William Daniel jr. his heirs &c one certain tract, or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Campbell on the water of Beaver Creek containing one hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less one negro man slave named Dick, one negro woman named Fanny, one negro man names Tom a Blacksmith also the stock of horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, wagon and gear Barruche and gear Blacksmiths tools plantation tools and utensels and household and kitchen furniture enumerated and particularly specifyed in a deed bearing date the first of August 1840 Between Bennit Henderson of the first part and Dorothy B Glass widow of James Glass of the second part and William A Staples of the third part Duly recorded in the office of the county court of Campbell to which reference is hereby made for greater certainty. The slaves Dick, Fanny, Sam and other personal property herein mentioned being subject to a previous Deed of Trust to the said William Daniel for the benefit of GD & JF Davis, and Davis and Brothers and White and Smith and the tract of land hereby conveyed subject to a Deed of Trust to the said William Daniel for the benefit of Hancock & Adam dated [blank] day of March 1842 also of record in the office of the county court of Campbell. To have and to hold the land and slaves & other personal property hereby conveyed to him the said William Daniel his heirs &
