Armistead T. Monroe James Monroe Jno. Augustine Monroe & Andrew Monroe by their next friend Nathan Skinner vs James Monroe Trustee of Bethany Monroe & Children W. C. Rives & A. G. Monroe } This cause coming on this 18th day of Novr 1831 by consent to be heard upon the bill & exhibit & answers & the arguments of counsel being heard upon consideration whereof the Court doth adjudge order & decree that the slaves in the bill & proceedings mentioned be sold for cash or on credit at the discretion of the Com'r. having been first duly advertised for sale for at least three weeks previous to the sale in at least one of the newspapers printed in the Town of Leesburg for the best price that can be had for them & that the proceeds be laid out at Interest to be secured by bond with approved security real or personal payable to the James Monroe Trustee for the said Plfs the Interest to be payable annually with Power in said Trustee to call in & revest the principal at any time on ninety days notice to the obligors. The Interest to be by said trustee applied in equal proportions to the use & benefit of the said four Plts according to the trust deed & the release of said A. G. Monroe in the bill & proceedings mentioned. The said James Monroe & Wm. Mershon are hereby appointed Commissioners for the purpose of making the sale with the power to either one or both to act who are directed to report his or their proceedings under this decree to this Court in order to a final decree
