Received of Christopher Isbell, William J Isbell and Robert Isbell thier bond for the sum of three hundred dollars in the penalty of six hundred dollars, payable on the first day of January 1834 which is in full for the purchase of a negro boy slave by the name of Edmund, a badly knock kneed boy, but on other respects said to be sound-he right and stable to which said negro boy Edmund I do hereby warrant and forever defend unto the said Christopher Isbell his heirs executors administrators, and against the claim of myself my heirs executors & administers and against the claim of all & every other person or persons whomsoever . As witness my hand & seal this 2 day of January 1863
