her to Richard Straughan a near neighbor for $100 and not $500 as alleged. As a justification for so doing she alleges that her recovery was hopeless, that in keeping her she would have incurred a great expense which she was not able to bear, and that the woman would never have been worth anything to those in remainder. Besides the pltff and others entitled in remainder lived in the neighborhood, had full knowledge of what she did, and no one ever thought of objecting until this late day. This respondent for further answer denies that she has sold or otherwise diminished the stock &c as alleged. And she also denies that the pltff has any cause to fear or does fear that she will commit any acts prejudicial to his rights. And having now answered unto all matters deemed material this respondent prays that the injunction may be dissolved and that the pltffs bill may be dismissed with costs &c. Elizabeth Harrison X her mark North'd County to wit This day personally appeared before me a justice of the peace in and for the County aforesaid Elizabeth Harrison and made that the matters contained in the foregoing answer, so far as they are stated to be of her own knowledge are true, and so far as she has heard them from others and declares her belief of them, she does believe them to be true.
