NOTICE TO BORROWERS. THE attention of borrowers is called to the fact that the period for which a book is lent by the Virginia State Library is ONLY TWO WEEKS. But on request of the borrower made toward the close of this period, the time may in certain cases be extended for an addi-tional two weeks. If a book is kept out over time, however (that is, if not having been re-newed it be kept out more than two weeks, or if renewed it be kept out more than four weeks), a fine of two cents a day is imposed on the borrower for each book thus retained. In any case in which a fine is imposed, it must be paid before the borrower can take from the Library another book. H. R. McILWAINE, Librarian.
