as follows: 7th: I give and bequeath unto my nephew Charles Gwaltney the sum of fifty dollars to him and his heirs forever. 8th: I give and bequeath unto my niece Eliza Brock (late Eliza Gwaltney) the sum of fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever. 9th I give and bequeath unto my niece Rosean Holt daughter of Nicholas if then living, the sum of fifty dollars to her and her heirs forever. 10th: I give all the balance of the money arising from the sales of the above named land and personal estate to Nicholas Holt, Martha Harris (late Holt) and the heirs of Brother John Holt, that may be then living, born of his present wife, to be equally divided between them, to them and their heirs forever. 11th It is my will and desire that my boy Harry be hired out, with the priviledge of choosing his own master and the money arising from his hire, so long as he may live, I give unto my last named legatees, to them and their heirs forever. 12th: I nominate and appoint my friend Zachariah Harris to be the lawful executor of this my last will and testament. At a Court of Quarterly Sessions held for the County of Surry the 28th day of November 1831. The within written last will and testament of Henry Holt, deceased, was this day presented in court, proved by the (oaths) oaths of Jordan Womwell, William Turner, and John Harris the subscribing witnesses and ordered to be recorded. Zachariah Harris the executor therein named refused to take upon himself the burthen of the execution thereof. And on the motion of Charity Holt, who made oath, and together with Zachariah Harris and William I Pulley, her securities, entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penal sum of four thousand dollars, conditioned as the law directs.
