The affidavit of Lain B Jones taken at the house of William Brown in the town of Warren on 14th Feby 1818 to be read as evidence in an injunction depending in the high Court of Chy between Robert Lewis pff & Js. Minor &c Dfts. The parties being both present together with their Counsel. This affiant says that at July or August Court 1816 he was present when a conversation took place between the pff & the Dft James Minor of which conversation he was requested by the sd. pff to take notice, that the sd. Lewis told the sd Dft that he must give him up his bond, as he had practiced a deception upon him and said that he would have nothing to do with the negro. After this observation was made the sd. Dft asked the plff what he would give & the sd. plff replied that he would not give a cent. And further this affiant saith not Lain B Jones
