This Deed, made this twenty fifth day of May, in the year one thousand eight-hundred and Fifty three, between Moses Hepburn and Amelia R. his wife, of the first part and C. W. Watkins and Saml. Ferguson Beach of the second part, all of the city & county of Alexandria & State of Virginia: Whereas by a decree recorded on the 18th day of May 1853, at the May Term of the Circuit Court For Alexandria County, in the suit of Moses Hepburn vs. Prudence C. Hepburn et al; Francis S. Smith, Esq.: the Commissioner appointed by a prior [illegible] in the same cause to make sale of certain property, particularly described in the bill filed in sd. cause, was directed to [illegible] the net cash payment arising from the sale made in pursuance of said prior decree and duly confirmed by the Court at its May Term aforesaid, to the said Moses Hepburn - he being entitled during his natural life to the dividends and interest arising from the proceeds of said sale - provided the said Moses Hepburn execute his bond therefore without interest, - the principal to be paid at the expiration of his life estate - and secure the same by deed of trust - from himself and wife, upon real estate in the City of Alexandria, Virginia, of the value of Thirty five hundred dollars -  And whereas the said Francis S. Smith, in obedience to teh said decree, has loaned to the said Moses Hepburn the nett cash payment of said sale, to wit - the sum of Sixteen Hundred Dollars, and the said Moses Hepburn has Executed his bond therefor,
