bearing date on the 26th day of May 1853, binding himself, his heirs. personal representatives and assigns, to cause the said sum of Sixteen hundred [blank] Dollars to be paid to the said commissioner or whoever else may be authorized to secure the same, at the time mentioned in the said decree, as hereintofore recited,-- Now this deed witnesseth, that in further compliance with the provisions of said decree and in consideration of the premises, the said parties of the first part do grant, with general warranty, unto the said parties of the second part, the several pieces of property in the said city of Alexandria situated and bounded as follows, to wit: A tenement & lot of ground fronting on the east side of Patrick Street, twenty feet, more or less, & running thence back eastwardly Seventy five feet, more or less, thence northwardly & parallel to Patrick St: twenty feet, more or less,-- thence westwardly & parallel to Cameron St: Seventy five feet, more or less, to Patrick St:-- thence binding on Patrick St: twenty feet, more or less, to the beginning-- subject to the legal ground rent, payable yearly, to Francis Swann-- it being the lot which was conveyed to Moses Hepburn from R. I. Tubman et ux:, by deed of the 3d March 1851- Liber M. No 3 pa: 178. Alex: Land Rec'ds-- Also a lot of ground beginning on the West side of Pitt St: one hundred and ten feet, seven inches, north of Cameron St: & at the north line of a ten feet alley, and running thence northerly with Pitt Street thirty two feet, six inches, more or less, to the line of W'm H. Miller- then westerly, parallel to Cameron St: one hundred & twenty three feet, five inches, more or less to Irwins line, then southerly, parallel to Pitt St: to said alley- then easterly with said alley & parallel to Cameron St: to the beginning, with the right of way over said alley--it being the same lot of ground, which was conveyed to the said Moses Hepburn, form Rob: H. Miller et ux:, by deed of the 1st June 1850 - Liber L. No. 3. pa: 575- Alex: Land Recd's-- Also another lot of ground beginning on the west side of Pitt St: at the middle of the square, between Cameron & Queen Sts: & at the south line of an alley, twenty five feet wide, & running southerly with Pitt St: thirty one & a half feet, more or less, to Marstellers line, then westerly parallel to Cameron St: one hundred and twenty three feet, five inches, more or less, to Irwins line, then northerly parallel to Pitt St: to said alley-- then easterly with a straight line to the beginning-- it being the lot of ground which was conveyed to the said Moses Hepburn from Rob: H. Miller, by deed of the 1st June 1850- Liber L, No. 3 pa: 577-- Alex: Land Recor's -- In trust, to allow the said Moses Hepburn, his heirs & assigns, to have and enjoy, the possession, rents, issues & profits of the said property, until default be made in the payment of the bond hereinbefore described, and in the event of said default, then, in trust, to sell the said property at public auction, for cash, having first given reasonable notice of the time place and terms of sale, and to apply the proceeds of sale, first, to pay all costs & charges attending the execution of this trust, including a commission of five percentum, to the trustees, then to the satisfaction of the said bond, and the balance, to pay over to the parties lawfully
