The Commonwealth of Virginia, to the Sherriff of Alexandria County--Greeting:

You are hereby commanded to summon Lewis Cooper.

to appear before our Circuit Court of Alexandria, at the Court-house of the said County, on the 3rd Mon. day of May 1857, to shew cause, if any, he can why the land purchased by him under a decree of this court in the case of Moses Hepburn plaintiff against Prudence C Hepburn & others defendants, shall not be resold to satisfy the unpaid instalments and interest due in his said purchase at the cost and risk of said Cooper.

and have then there this writ. Witness, Robert Alexander Sinclair, Clerk of our said Court, at the Court-house aforesaid, this 20th Day of November 1856, and in the 81 year of this Commonwealth. R. A. Sinclair
