To the Honble John W. Tyler Judge of the Circuit Court for the County of Alexandria, and State of Virginia. The undersigned commissioner of sale, in the suit of Hepburn vs Hepburn &, pending in your Honors Court, would by leave to report, that in compliance with the decree of the 19th day of May 1853, your Commissioner provided to loan to Moses Hepburn sixteen thousand dollars, part of the sum of the two thousand dollars, paid in cash, by Lewis Cooper, on account of the purchase of the real estate in the bill and proceedings mentioned. That the said loan is secured by a deed of trust & the bond of Moses Hepburn herewith marked 1 & 2. That the residue of the said $2000 (being $400) was disbursed according to the statement here to annexed, from which it will also appear, that from said residue, and the interest or dividend received on the State Stock herein often referred to, these remains in the hands of your commissioner, in cash, the sum of Forty seven dollars and four cents. Your commissioner further reports, that the said Lewis Cooper by his agent Reuben Johnston, delivered to your Comr., to be evicted on said purchase under decrees in this cause, two thousand one hundred dollars, in the stock of the state of Virginia, the numbers and amounts of the
