Public Sale of Land. By virtue of a decree of the Circuit Court of Surry County, rendered on the 14th day of November 1879, in a suit in Chancery herein pending under the style of Faulcon by &c v. Hopkins, I shall offer for sale at Public Auction at Surry Court House on Tuesday the 23rd day of December, 1879, that being Court day, a tract of 258 acres of land, more or less, adjoining the estate of John D. Lane, and others, and is a portion of the tract of land whereof Nancy J. Fitchett died seized and possessed, which was alloted to the residuary devisees in a division of the same. This tract is heavily timbered and offers superior inducements to sawmill men Terms Enough in cash to defray the costs of suit and sale, the remainder on a credit of one and two years, in two equal payments. Bonds with approved security and waiver of the Homestead, bearing interest from day of sale, required of the purchaser for the deferred payments, and the title to be retained until the further order of the Court.
