In the name of God Amen: I Nancy J Fitchett of the County of Surry, and State of Virginia being of Sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. First: After all my legal debts are discharged, the residue of my estate real and personal, I give, bequeath, and dispose of as follows. The plantation in which I now reside I give unto Mrs Patsy Hopkins during ehr life, and at her death, I give the said Plantation to my Nephew Decatur C Davis. I also give unto my said Nephew one Bed and furniture. My plantation on Blackwater know as "Kees" and all the lands that have been added to the said plantation, I give to my Nephews Joseph R Davis, and Sidney B Barham, to be equally divided between the same, with this request, that they will take my old Slave Solomon, and take good care of him during his life; I give unto my Nephew Joseph R. Davis, one Bed and furniture. I also give unto my Nephew Sidney B. Barham my wardrobe. I give to my Nephew Josiah N Jones, all my Sliver Spoons, and my Mahogany rocking chair. I give one Bed and furniture and all my interest, in and to my father's estate, and now held as dower property by my mother in law, Sarah Bell, unto Henry H. Bell, infant son of James M. J. Bell. I give also to said Henry H Bell, a note I hold against his father J M J Bell. I give unto my mother in law, Sarah (Bell)
